“Spy is nice work. I just hope it doesn’t out to be some heartbreaking Mata Hari tale”.
” For what it’s worth, as of yet “Spy – Drama” isn’t really bad in any particularly obvious way. It’s just sort of bland”.
“If all spies were a vision to look at like Jaejoong is, I’d probably cave in and give up all my secrets within five minutes in the interrogation room. Thankfully Spy, the newest spy action drama on the KBS block offers more than a beautiful face to gaze upon”.
“The secrets that surround the characters are captivating. The past is currently catching up to the present and there is no easy way out”.
“SPY holds promise, the shooting style is sharper, the angles cleaner and far less unnecessarily dramatic. At the very least, the family dynamic is incredibly believable and allows the audience to connect almost instantly with the deceptively normal interactions between family members”.
“This show doesn’t have my heart yet, but it does have my interest“.
“Actually, I forgive a lot of things about this drama..seriously, both NK and SK spies are all lame”.
“The premiere was surprisingly better than I expected: a simple and balanced narrative with nicely directed action sequences”
” So I decided to check out Spy, just to see if I like it. It does have all the elements I really love such as spies, action, conspiracy, hidden agendas, which side am I really on…..but after two episodes, it hasn’t sparked for me yet”.
“I’m keeping an open mind for Spy at the moment. So far, I am liking Kim Jae-joong‘s performance — he is the suave, cool spy yet at the same time, a doting son and boyfriend”.
“‘Spy – Drama’ might have a few minor issues, but its premiere week was quite impressive and surprising. If it maintains its balance between duty and family, strengthen its mother-son bond and continue with its unwrapping of the past and present, it will be one very good show. It made a quality start, compared to the usual standard, so let us hope it keeps this up”.
