” All of it works well in service to the character. And more importantly, even to those of you with no familiarity with the source material, it works to make “Doctor Frost” pretty fun television”.
“On the whole, as a debut ep, Frost is average. It’s not as engaging as Bad Guys, or Ten, or Vampire Prosecutor…but it doesn’t annoy me as much as Reset or Cheo-yong“.
“The series sadly suffers from an identity crisis about midway and it is a real shame. Originally an episodic format, the drama suddenly throws a main plot into the works and at the same time seems to abruptly sever the main pair’s connection and bonding“.
” This is a really interesting drama and I’m really enjoying it so far. It has a protagonist who is kind of a douche and a leading lady who is kind of annoying… but somehow it works.”
“Let us not talk about Dr. Frosts assistant, I really didn’t like her. But all the other actors were good, especially the patients in all the cases in every episode. It’s a nice drama, it suits a nice rainy Sunday were you just want to be home”.
“The last episode does tie all the disparate plot lines together in a reasonable way, but not without a few letdowns“.
” Based on a webcomic. Dr. Frost is a brilliant psychologist who seems to have difficulty sympathizing with the very people he find so easy to read. A University campus counselor by day and a bartender by night, Dr. Frost and his teaching assistant solve their clients’ problems”.
“It wasn’t horrible, but it also wasn’t as good as I would have liked it to be. This is my fault though, because I thought it would be similar to the webtoon and didn’t expect so many changes. Now that I know, I should be fine for the next episode”.
“Nothing particularly stood out for me, but then again, nothing was particularly offensive or awful. I’m going to give the show a few more episodes, because I still have hope for it, and because it just has so much potential to be great”.
“OCN’s newest Sunday psychological crime procedural Dr. Frost is one slick and shrewd show, working through its first case at near breakneck speed, thanks to one sexy brain and his plucky teaching assistant”.
“Doctor Frost’s first episode is a teensy bit underwhelming as we’re teased with far more than we get, but it remains firmly on my watchlist”.
“I always welcome good crime dramas, but based on the first two episodes…. I’m not fully sold yet. It’s pretty decent, but it feels like something is missing”.
“Dr. Frost reminds me of Vampire Prosecutor. Both main characters have extraordinary abilities and are rather cold. Both are also assisted by two women with different approaches”.
